One should be aware that heartburn is often caused by not enough stomach acid. This results in impaired digestion and delayed stomach emptying. Sometimes the stomach is essentially trying to send the food back where it came from because it can't deal with it properly. Many people get long-term relief from heartburn - although they may suffer a little more in the short term - by stopping their use of antacids. Often modifications in diet and perhaps eating/meal patterns may also help. More good info at http://www.natural-pain-relief-guide.com/antacids.html

I wasn't sure what was wrong. My chest hurt badly and everytime I got up I felt like throwing up, but never did. It hurt and was hard to breathe all night and still hurt this morning.
I had eaten a large tomato and fried potatoes with onions, I guess that is what did it.
I was just scared that it kept me up all night. Having a bad smoking habit, I'm sure, didn't help me any.

If you have any suggestions please email me.
thanks
