Don't believe this BS about diet probably causing narcolepsy. You jerks that write this crap can, will, and do have a serious impact on people getting appropriate treatment for this disease. Eating well, exercise, etc, is ALWAYS good for everyone, but to lead someone to believe that how they eat will help eliminate narcolepsy is UNETHICAL. I want to call you a bunch of bad names, but I hope this is your non-narcolepsy person ignorant self talking. TRY HAVING THIS DISEASE. NO ONE with narcolepsy is cured by changing diet. Of course a better diet helps people, BUT EVERYONE UNDERSTAND THIS PLEASE: Narcolepsy is not a broken sleeping pattern that can be fixed.

Saying something like this:
"studies have shown that the Foods we eat cause the body to have a yin yang effect. So what you put into the body is what you get out of it which results in bad sleeping patterns." is IRRESPONSIBLE. You may be trying to help, but for true narcolepsy, all you are doing is causing the narcoleptic to feel even worse about themselves when changing diet doesn't end up helping. TRUST ME. The largest forum for people with narcolepsy has us all talking and comparing notes. Hundreds of us. If another autoimmune disease is coexisting along with narcolepsy (which is not uncommon) such as Celiac's, then yes, absolutely, there will be a change.

Borganic.ORG and OFC take your irresponsible advertising crap elsewhere. YOU ARE UNETHICAL. Trolling for sick people with illness is DISGUSTING. You have no idea how people like you make someone with a disease like Narcolepsy feel. Unsympathetic fops.

For someone who has trouble staying awake longer than a few hours regardless of the number of hours I sleep, this is very interesting news. Is the diagnosis now made based on clinical findings and a low level of hypocretin? And what of treatment? How does amphetamine and related drugs work in correcting this and can Narcolepsy be treated other ways? Thanks for any insight into this.
