Meditation is a tough one for some people to wrap their brains around.

I used to be one of them.

I am a guy. I am a jock. I am a very strong, very large, jock.

And I meditate. Every day.

It was very hard at first. I felt silly. I couldn't quiet my mind. (You won't believe it until you try it)I needed to do it in private to avoid embarrassment.

But the benefits far outweigh any feelings of embarrassment or frustration. Just the ability to reduce stress and release other negative emotions is worth the price of admission.

It has become an important part of my fitness routine - http://healthhabits.wordpress.com/2008/04/10/the-components-of-physical-fitness/
