Where do I find an advocate for dental malpractice (ie, besides the ADA-who sticks up for the dentist)? Who else can I all report him to?

If lodging a complaint with the likes of JCAHO were one of the "surest" ways to prevent others from falling victim to our broken healthcare system, then there would be no reason for your magazine to write these articles. We have all complained to the proper "authorities," JCAHO included, and they're all part of the same boy's club that protects each other, and fights to keep this information out of the public view. Where do you think JCAHO gets their funding? From the hospitals they "accredit." Consumers, don't kid yourselves, nobody is protecting the patient from harm, that's why every patient needs an advocate in a friend or family member 24/7.
